Week 12 Overview:
Focus: PART 3 on Execution and Post Production
PART 3 SELF-TITLED

EDITING IN AFTER EFFECTS
RESEARCH AND INSPIRATION:
Based on my digital poster that I did on Week 11, I have to transfer it to After Effects to animate it properly.
This is my digital poster:
Before I transfer it, I renamed all of the layers properly and arrange it cleanly so that in After Effects I wouldn't get confused.
After that, I download it as PSD then open up After Effects to start my editing.
IDEATION:
Before I edited it, I watched some videos to have to know on how to animate properly. I did some Google searches and the lecturer helped as well by giving me some video links.
Here are some of the videos I watched:

EDITING:
To do the animation, I also watch some of the tutorial videos that the lecturer has made in the Google Classroom and followed some of the steps there.
APPLE EYE BLINKING EDITING:
1) Duplicating Layers
Th first step to make the apple eye blinking is to duplicate the apple layer into 2. Then rename it as apple eye top lid and apple eye bottom lid.
2) Select and Mask
Select and mask by using the Pen Tool to only take the top eye lid and the bottom eye. I carefully make a path without touching the pupils or the eyeball part.
3) Adding Effects
I added Liquify Effect to the apple eye top lid.
4) Distort
I distorted the eye with a Brush tool and dragged it down to make the eye lid close.
5) Adding Keyframes
I added a few keyframes and change the distortion percentage. The first keyframe distortion percentage is 0%, the second one is 100% and the last one is 0%. Then I duplicated those to make the eye blink, blink a few times.
This is the end progress for now, will continue the editing on the flow red lines on Week 13.

There's no feedback, just continue with the editing.
FINAL OUTCOME
END PROGRESS FOR EDITING:
REFLECTION
Experience
My first time editing in After Effects was quite overwhelming because there were many buttons and icons to click on. However, with the help of online tutorials, I was able to learn the steps needed to complete the project. Searching for specific tutorials such as "how to make eyes blink in After Effects" helped me understand the process quickly. With additional support from my friends and lecturer, I managed to complete the editing successfully.
Observations
While working in After Effects, I noticed that even small changes could affect the entire animation. Adjusting positions, timing or layers needed it be done carefully, since incorrect placement could make the animation look messy.
Findings
From this experience, I learned that animation needed precision and attention to detail. I also realized how important it is to plan before adding effects. In the end, this task helped me become more confident in using After Effects and showed me the value of learning through tutorials and practice.
