REFLECTION
Experience
This project was one of the most challenging projects so far, especially the double exposure and photo manipulation tasks. Creating a good outcome needs more than just layering images, it needs balance detail and realism as well. I also realised that taking good product photos was harder than I realised due to lighting limitations. Even with my struggles at the beginning, rewatching tutorial videos and practicing repeatedly helped me be more comfortable in using Photoshop. Seeing how editing could really transform m images, such as making the strawberry look like a part of the lollipop, made the whole process worth it and it motivated me to improve further.
Observations
Throughout this project, I noticed how important it was to have good lighting in photography and editing. Bad lighting made the photos look dull, but with editing on the highlights, shadows and colour adjustments helped improve on the final result. I also saw that having image references from Pinterest helped me guide my ideas and stopped e from feeling overwhelmed by too many creative choices.
Findings
From this project, I learned that patience , experimentation and attention to detail are important in photo manipulation and double exposure work. Small adjustments in lighting or angles and even editing can really affect the realism and the mood of an image. I also realised that string artwork comes from a combination of planning, good photography and editing skills. Overall, this project helped me get better on understanding Photoshop and improve on my editing skills.
