REFLECTION

Experience
This was my first time taking a Typography subject and I genuinely enjoyed it. I think its mainly because my lecturer was very passionate about Typography and guided us patiently through the basics especially in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, which many of us are unfamiliar with. Even though I loved the subject, it still came with some challenges such as learning how to use the software properly and understanding how much patience is needed to create a clean and structured layout. Despite the difficulties, I'm glad that I went through this subject because it has thought me so much about typography and its history.

Observations
Throughout the tasks, I realized that typography is more than just typing words. It requites precision, accuracy and planning. Even the smallest adjustments in spacing, alignment or even the letter structure can completely change how readable or aesthetically pleasing the design becomes. I also noticed how much structure matters and how the imperfections in font can make them look more unique.

Findings
From this subject, I learned that Typography is all bout the attention to detail of like every letter, line and space. Good design is a balance between creativity and the structure where the work must be both visually nice and readable. I also found that small improvements in layout and text placement can really change the overall feel of the design. Overall, this subject has helped me understand how to combine creative ideas with proper design principles to produce a more refined final outcome.
